Lauren took her first ballet class at the Avalon School of the Arts this semester. While it was a bit early every Saturday morning to drag herself and mom out of bed, once she was there-she loved every minute of it. The semester ends with a school-wide recital which was on Sunday. This is a video of the rehearsal. Lauren is second in from the far left. She actually should have been on the very end, but they lined the students up incorrectly--so things were a bit backwards for her-but they did it perfect during the actual performance! She is looking forward to taking another class in the Fall!

First Day of Kindergarten!

Lauren started Kindergarten on Tuesday, Sept 1, all dolled up with a new 'do! She is in Maestra Venegas' class at Zeeland Christian's El Puente. She is one of only 4 girls in her class of 15. As of her second day of school, she has already proclaimed she 'loves!' her teacher. Here are some pics of her first day...

Valentines Weekend in Chicago

We spent Valentine's Day weekend in Chicago with our good friends, Salli and Jason and their children Lillian and James. Salli and I took Lilli and Lauren to the American Girl Place downtown (they both received AG dolls for Christmas this year), where they both were able to pick out a new outfit, while the boys checked out the Auto Show. We had a great time!!

As they took a little while figure out crawling, the twins have also taken a bit longer to master walking. And much to our surprise, Aiden was the first to start cruising..on Christmas eve! So he got to surprise Nana and Papa who arrived that day from Georgia. The first part of the video is Aiden showing off his skills around Christmas. Audrey followed, a few weeks later, and today is cruising around, not quite at the speed of her brother who will soon be running if he has anything to do with it, but she's gaining speed and ability. So the end of the video is Audrey showing off, of course carrying her purse, and a mini Dooney & Burke one of course!
